Darrell De Groot

Darrell De Groot has been dealing with an extremely rapid heartbeat for the past several months. He had a surgical procedure done at Sioux Falls Heart Hospital on Friday that will hopefully take care of it. He will return home on Saturday.
Levi Thorson

May 20 - We are happy to report that little Levi Thorson has returned to his home after 5 months in the neo-natal unit. Pray for Grant and Tara as they assume all the care that Levi still needs. Please hold off on visits for a while. Levi’s immune system cannot yet protect him. May 4 - Levi Thorson remains in the NeoNatal Unit in Sioux Falls. He is doing well but continues to have some issues. April 12 - Levi Thorson, infant son of Grant & Tara Thorson, who has been in the neo-natal unit for 4 months, is beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Ivan Pennings

May 17 - Ivan Pennings is at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. He has a seriously infected sore that must be treated with heavy doses of antibiotics.
Mary French

May 20 - Mary French will be having surgery on Tuesday at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls to replace the skull cap removed after her injury. She will remain in the hospital for 3-5 days. April 5 - Mary French is at home with her parents. She continues with physical and occupational therapy. Pray for this adjustment for her and her parents. Pray for continued progress. Cal Van Beek

May 11 - Cal Van Beek received an excellent report this week. He is responding very well to treatment. He will likely be starting the bone marrow treatment in Omaha at the end of this month. Thank God and pray for continued good response. May 4 - Cal Van Beek will be having a consultation with his doctors on Thursday, May 10 and may have his bone marrow treatment by the end of May. April 16 - Cal Van Beek got a good report this past week. The treatments are working. Planned bone marrow treatment is being moved up. Things are looking good. March 22 - Keep Cal Van Beek in your prayers as he continues to receive both chemo and radiation cancer treatments. It is going well. March 11 - Cal Van Beek had his first chemo treatments this past week Monday and Thursday. He feels good. Keep him in your prayers and pray for effective treatment. March 4 - Cal Van Beek had further tests this week in which it was confirmed that he has bone cancer. He will start chemo and radiation treatments this week.

Our sympathy to Gary & Judy Meyer, Loren Meyer, Char & Brian Woelber and family in the passing of Willard (Bill) Meyer this past Thursday. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
Bert Zoet

May 8 - Our sympathy to Pearl Zoet, Dean & Audrey Zoet and the whole Zoet family. Bert passed away on Tuesday afternoon. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 15 in the afternoon. April 6 - Keep praying for grace for Bert Zoet and his wife and family. March 30 - Pray for Bert Zoet. He is growing weaker and mostly confined to his home but he is alert.
Evelyn Kamstra

May 8 - Evelyn Kamstra moved to Sanford Senior Care on Tuesday. Pray for her as she makes this adjustment and as she has decided not to take any further treatments for cancer. May 6 - Evelyn Kamstra remains in the Sheldon hospital. She may be moving to Sanford Senior Care soon. April 27 - Evelyn Kamstra remains in the Sheldon hospital since being diagnosed with lung and liver cancer. Please pray for grace and guidance. April 20 - Evelyn Kamstra has been diagnosed with lung and liver cancer. She is spending a few days in the Sheldon hospital. Please pray for grace and guidance.

Ken Bolkema

May 4 - Ken Bolkema is home again. He will have a couple of weeks off chemo and then have another treatment. Doctors will take a scan and see how he is responding. April 27 - Ken Bolkema did not get a good report this week. He has cancer in his lungs, liver and hip bone. Chemo treatments were started on Thursday. Three days on chemo with three weeks off for the next 6 months. Then, another PET scan. Pray! April 20 - Ken Bolkema was admitted to Sanford Medical Center of Sioux Falls on Thursday where he underwent an angiogram. They have discovered a mass in one of his lungs and will be doing a biopsy as well.
Agnes Hulst

May 6 - Agnes Hulst has returned to the Christian Retirement Home. April 27 - Agnes Hulst remains in a swing bed in the Sheldon hospital to continue her recovery from back surgery. April 20 - Agnes Hulst had successful back surgery on Monday. She has returned to a swing bed in the Sheldon hospital to continue her recovery.
Ed & Bonnie Verburg

May 4 - Ed & Bonnie Verburg had tests this week at Sanford Heart hospital. Bonnie had two stints implanted. Ed got a good report. April 27 - Ed & Bonnie Verburg will be having tests at Sanford Heart hospital in Sioux Falls on Tuesday. Ed will be having a stress echocardiogram and Bonnie will be having an angiogram.
Cindy Hofstra

April 27 - Cindy Hofstra has completed her radiation treatments. Her doctors have told her that she has every right to expect a full and complete recovery. Praise the Lord. April 6 - Keep Cindy Hofstra in your prayers as she continues to receive treatment for breast cancer.

Our sympathy to Ed & Sheryl Alons and Cal & Dee Van Beek & family whose step-mother, Rosela Alons, passed away this past Wednesday evening. Visitation will be at the Andringa Funeral Home this afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. The funeral will be at Bethel Reformed Church at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.

April 20 - Karen De Boom had successful surgery this past Monday. She has returned home. April 15 - Karen De Boom will be having gastric bypass surgery in Sioux Falls on Monday, April 16. Pray for a successful surgery, a complete recovery and good results.

Please join Love In the Name of Christ in prayer this week for the new spring session of our Loving Help Budget Program. Pray for those that are attending, that they may learn to budget their finances in the budgeting class, become better parents in the parenting class, learn to cook healthy meals and come together as a family at meal time in the cooking class, and dig deeper into God's Word in Bible Study. Pray for those that are teaching the classes, for those that are mentoring and for all of the volunteers that are working together to serve the Lord and help bring success to the individuals that are attending.

April 7 - Joanne Sterler has returned home from the hospital after hip replacement surgery. March 30 - Joanne had a successful hip surgery. She transferred to a swing bed in the Sheldon hospital on Thursday. March 26 - Joanne Sterler will be having hip replacement surgery in Sioux Falls on Monday.
Lisa Klein

April 7 - Lisa Klein had foot surgery on Friday. She has returned home. March 30 - Lisa Klein will be having extensive foot surgery this coming Friday. She will not be able to put weight on it for several weeks. Pray for successful surgery and complete healing.
Connie Pennings

Connie Pennings went to Rochester this week. She has been having problems with her leg where they removed a nerve that was used to repair nerve damage in her wrist. Now her leg is bothering her. Pray!
Joan Whitsell

March 11 - Joan Whitsell is home and doing great. Keep praying for a quick recovery from surgery so she can begin radiation treatments. March 2 - Joan's surgery was successful. Once recovered from the surgery, Joan will need to undergo radiation treatments to destroy any remaining cancer. Feb. 26 - Joan Whitsell will be having surgery this week Thursday (Mar. 1) at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls to remove the tumor pushing against her brain. She expects to remain at the hospital for four or five days.
