Mission & Vision

Building God’s Kingdom One Teen At a Time

The youth ministries of First Reformed Church exist to sow the seeds of Christian faith and belief in Jesus, to grow in relationship with other believers and our Savior Jesus Christ, and to go out and share his love with the world.

Ministry Opportunities

Alpha Teens // our middle school youth group meets in the youth house from 6:15-7:30 PM on Wednesday nights from late August to early May. In this more laid back atmosphere, students are given opportunities to socialize with their peers, have fun through games that often turn into complete chaos, and most importantly learn what it looks like to follow Jesus.

Sunday School // 7th-8th graders meet upstairs in room 32 after church on Sundays. Students who attend Sunday School are given the opportunity to learn about faith in an age-appropriate, yet more formal setting than Alpha Teens.

RCYF // our high school youth group meets in the youth house from 7:45-9:00 PM from late August to early May. This group emphasizes small groups and relationships, with occasional Small Group Nights, where we share a meal at congregation member's houses.

Sunday School // 9th-10th graders meet upstairs in room 31. This group goes through the Heidelberg Catechism which highlights the foundations of the reformed faith.

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and purity."
I Timothy 4:12
